Lava Cable Solder-Free Cables: product SPOTLIGHT

ImageI came by Lava Cable at NAMM 08, while just walking the floor. I guy named Mark walked up to me and asked if I had heard of Lava Cables. Turned out it was Mark Stoddard, the creator of Lava Cable. Super nice guy and has an interesting story about how Lava Cable came about.

I thought it was interesting and he gave me a sample cable kit. Because I'm primarily a drummer I didn't have any immediate use for the cables. One day I was talking to a old friend, Shawn Tubbs (Carrie Underwood), and I asked him if he had ever heard of Lava. Small world, turns out that he endorses them and swears by them. I dug out the sample pack and put together this short little video. I have a small rig that I use for guitar and bass when I'm tracking in the studio so I made a slew of cables and have been running with them ever since. Easy to put together and they sound great - still.
